Jacob & Paige

In May of 2017, we went on vacation to Iceland. Jacob planned the whole trip (if you are interested in seeing the whole trip itinerary you can see it here).

On the first day of our trip, we drove from Reykjavik to Hrutafell. Jacob had planned a full day of activities (which was not unusual for him) beginning with stops at The Strokkur Geyser, Gullfoss Falls, and Swimming in The Secret Lagoon. After this, we stopped and checked in at our Airbnb which was beautiful. Paige got to hold a day old lamb and it was adorably stinky. After that, being around eight at night and the sun not having set yet (which it does not in the summer in Iceland due to being so far North), we drove to Seljalandfoss. Before exploring that waterfall we hiked to a secret waterfall Gljufrabui.

After hopping rocks into the cavern, Paige stopped and started talking about how awesome and beautiful the waterfall was. While she was yammering away, Jacob was on one knee ready for her to turn around. She eventually turned around and Jacob proposed. It was very romantic.
