Brandon & LaTasha

LaTasha and I have been friends for a few years. We took it to the next level and started dating April 2017. We have been falling more in more in love ever since. So, I decided I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her this year.

On February 10, we planned a date to celebrate our first Valentine’s Day together. However, she didn’t know that I actually planned to propose to her. She’s always wanted close family and friends to be present at her engagement, so I made all the necessary connections to get them there. I found a restaurant that had a piano there because I wrote a song for her that I wanted to play and sing to her. So, as we approached the restaurant, I blindfolded her so that she couldn’t see as we approached the restaurant or be able to recognize any of the cars outside. I walked her into the restaurant, onto the stage where the piano was, and then allowed her to take the blindfold off. At that point, I began playing and singing the song I wrote to her. At the end of the song, I sang a portion of Jason Derulo’s Marry Me, got off the piano, onto one knee, and asked her to marry me. She said yes, of course :) then realized all of her family and friends were there once they began cheering and celebrating. My parents, who live 10 hours away from us, also joined in via FaceTime. It was magical and the whole moment was captured on video and is currently on YouTube. I’m a very blessed and lucky man to be engaged to be married to my best friend and the love of my life!
